An examination using participatory tools, predominantly informal interveiws and group meetings, of people's use of trees in homegardens. The study area is one where people have been resettled in the last 2-10 years, from regions which were very differently climatically, and where a different range of tree species were available and suitable. There is an analysis of people's perceptions of their problems, as well as the level of local expertise in tree planting.
