Development theatre : a way to listen

This document describes the work done by the Drama Unit of SOS Sahel's Community Environment Project, which works with the Bobo people in Mali. The Drama Unit aimed to improve and develop communications between the project and the villagers with whom it works, through songs and theatre. The paper documents the progress, changing perceptions of villagers, and evolution of theatre as a means of expression. It also reflects on the constraints and difficulties faced, and the mistakes that were made.
